Pasta flora, the classic greek

Pasta Flora always reminds me of an old classical greek comic movie which gives you a lot of laugh, that's why it's a happy dessert! The movie is about an incredible crazy greek family of which the mother is called Pasta Flora (Flora it's a greek girly name). So, let us all be a member of that family.
We put in thw mixer, in low density, 250gr butter and 130gr sugar. After 2-3 minutes, we add 2 eggs, 1ts of cognak and 3gr baking powder. After 2-3 min, we add almost 500 gr flour. After 5 more minutes when all the ingredients are mixed up well, we put the 2/3 of mixture of the dough in a stick or pyrex. We also cover the sides of the stick with the dough and we put in the marmelade (250gr or according to your stick). I personally prefer better orange marmelade.

With the rest of the dough, I make strings as shown in the picture and make small squares. In each square, I put a white unsalted almond.

I bake Pasta Flora in the oven for about half an hour in normal temperature and the house starts smelling perfect. Have fun!

Recipe for the orange marmelade you will find here
