It is very common in Greece to roast bread when you are outside in the country cooking grilled meat. Of course, the bread needs a very small preparation from you in order to be … delicious.
In a bowl you mix oil, salt, pepper and oregano. How much? It depends on the quantity of bread you have! Generally, 2Tbsp of olive oil, ½ tsp of salt, ¼ tsp of pepper and 1tsp of oregano will be perfect. If you need to change the proportions do not forget to add more olive oil.
You pour the mixture on the bread using a spoon or simply “bathing” the surface of the bread into the bowl. You roast the bread on both sides on the grill or in your oven! For the oven you will need only a couple of minutes till the bread turn gold.
Aren’t they ready yet? Mmmm, I have already smelled them!!!
